Illustration

This illustration is inspired by the classic story of Pygmalion who sculpts Galatea and this statue comes to life. We wanted to reproduce this image with modern media in modern time.

So I asked for one of my good friend David Couillard to work with me in this project and he accepted and he took charge of photography. We asked Christyna Boudreault and Martin Lavoie to pose for us and they generously accepted.

It all started with a couple of sketch to have clear idea what we had to do once in the studio, especially how to set the lighting. The rest was finished in 3D, modeling metal legs on Christyna, texturing it and finally lighting them with the same setting as we used to shoot.

All effects were added after in Photoshop.
